The SHFJ is a research center dedicated to molecular and functional non-invasive imaging for clinical and preclinical research in oncology, neurology, neurodegenerative disease and psychiatry. The facility includes a nuclear medicine unit and is located in Orsay's Hospital area (near Paris).
The SHFJ is the nuclear medicine facility of the Orsay-Longjumeau Hospital (near Paris). In addition to its mission of healthcare, the center develops research programs for the improving the quantitative performance of molecular imaging based on positron emission tomography (PET), including PET-MR. Research includes developing novel imaging agents, enhancing data analysis methods, and kinetic modelling. These methods are used to elucidate physiopathological mechanisms mostly in brain and cancer imaging , both in clinical and pre-clinical settings.
