© A.Aubert\CEA

The teams at the Research Institute for Nuclear Systems for Low-Carbon Energy Production (IRESNE) can provide their expertise and technologies to help you design, develop or drive innovate.

Scientific cooperation is one of the most effective ways to innovate, help drive scientific progress and position yourself as an innovative player in your field.

What is a joint R&D programme?
Tiret rouge

A joint R&D programme is based on a bi- or multilateral agreement between two or more players (research organisations, private companies) to carry out a specific study on an R&D topic.

This type of mid-term collaboration usually leads to a technology transfer.

Why collaborate with IRESNE?

The French Alternatives Energies & Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) to which IRESNE belongs is tasked with supporting industrial innovation. It is therefore evident that IRESNE should pursue the same objective.

To this end, the institute makes its expertise and technologies available to companies and other research organisations as part of a joint research programme.

Together, our know-how and your vision can drive innovation and make it possible to design novel, ingenious and reliable solutions.

  • Collaborating with IRESNE means working with experts whose scientific excellence is recognised in the international arena, and whose research has concrete applications for the global industry
  • Working with IRESNE also means working with experienced administrative support staff in a safe and secure environment
  • Collaborating with IRESNE means collaborating in a high-level technical environment with experimental platforms that are unique in the world and open to our partners.

Example of a joint R&D programme

IRESNE has set up a joint R&D programme with Renault to develop new technologies for the automotive industry, including electric cars and internal combustion engines.

In particular, we have collaborated on the design of instrumentation (electronic sensors) capable of resisting in hostile conditions (e.g. high temperatures) for energy system requirements.

Hundreds of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and major industry groups conduct their innovation programmes with the CEA. Why not you?
