Axénis is a spin-off of the Institut Pasteur (Paris, France).
Founded in 2010, Axénis develops solutions with the aim of improving the efficiency and speed of preclinical tests of medical treatments. This is possible thanks to the design and marketing of mice carrying a human system. Axénis has developed different strains of mice capable of carrying the human immune system to replace their own. The objective is to verify that the products tested (drug, vaccine, medical treatment...), provide a satisfactory response to the pathology concerned, and also to accumulate information about the safety of the treatment for humans. The domains covered by this technology and the know-how of Axénis concern all the human pathologies that impact the immune system through the domains of infectiology, immunology, vaccination, immuno-oncology...
