The IDMIT Department comprises five research laboratories and six technological research laboratories.​

Geographical Location

The IDMIT Department is co-located on the CEA site in Fontenay-aux-Roses (FAR) and at the Faculty of Medicine of Université Paris-Saclay (Kremlin-Bicêtre site).

The entities located at the CEA Fontenay-aux-Roses site are dedicated to preclinical activities, while those at the Kremlin-Bicêtre site focus on clinical research. This dual positioning enables IDMIT to ensure a unique continuum in Europe between preclinical and clinical research in the field of human infectious diseases.

Three clinical research laboratories

  • Laboratory of  Control of Viral Infection (CoVir) – clinical activities – Prof. Olivier Lambotte

  • Laboratory of Autoimmune Diseases (LMA) – Prof. Xavier Mariette

  • Laboratory of Multidrug-Resistant Bacteria (LReSIST) – Dr. Thierry Naas

One technological laboratory

  • Laboratory of Immunology, Microbiology, Metabolism (LIMM)
