🌟The GREENJacob group was fully engaged in the 2025 ESDW, offering all Institute staff a series of workshops and talks addressing major environmental and societal challenges, and exploring how these issues can be integrated into their activities, whether scientific, technical, or administrative, individual or collective.
🎤 Three thematic conferences on sustainable development, environmental challenges, and waste management brought together between 30 and 50 participants, demonstrating the strong level of interest within the Institute.
Conference by Romain Troublé, CEO of the Tara Ocean Foundation, “The Tara Oceans adventure with the Genoscope”
Conference by Jean-Luc Guichet, Professor at the University of Picardie, “Contemporary philosophical perspectives on environmental issues”
Conference by Anne-Sophie Hérard and Coralie Toldo–Quélard, CEA, Presentation of the GREENJacob group and the GreenGARDEN project
🛠️ The “Décarbon’Action!” workshop, led by Armelle Mesnard, Director of Sustainable Development at the CEA, brought together seven staff members from each of the Institute’s Departments.
🧩 Finally, seven teams of 5 to 10 participants, including five teams at the Évry site , took part in a CEA- home designed escape game led by the collective.
In this escape game, themed “Eco-actions and waste management,” the mission was to save the CEA (and the planet) from a catastrophe triggered by a major malfunction in the artificial intelligence responsible for waste sorting. Participants particularly enjoyed this activity, which was both fun and educational.
The two fastest teams, one at the Evry site and one at the FAR site, were congratulated for their insight and collective success and were awarded a certificate during the closing ceremony.
👏 Remerciements
