Stanislas Dehaene has received the “Lire” prize for scientific book of the year

Stanislas Dehaene, professor at the Collège de France and a researcher at the CEA-I2BM, has won the “Lire” prize for the best book of the year in the science category, for “Le code de la conscience” (The Code of Consciousness).

Published on 2 December 2014

Released in early October by Odile Jacob, this works reviews what we know today of consciousness: its neurophysiological expression, the manner of its emergence, how the brain apprehends reality, etc. This field has progressed enormously, especially through brain imaging techniques, although much remains to be done to validate certain assumptions (or to build others).

Every year since 1997, in December, the magazine “Lire” publishes its prize list of the best books of the year in twenty categories, including scientific books.
