The French cytometry association aims to promote and provide expertise in cytometry applied to biology in France. Each year, it organizes a national congress that brings together leading experts in the field, users of national core facilities, and industrial partners specialized in cytometry. In 2025, the scientific program was especially rich, covering topics ranging from advances in cytometry to imaging, fundamental and clinical immunology, hematology, cell therapies, nanoparticles, microvesicles, and microbiology.

The 2025 edition placed particular emphasis on the participation of young cytometrists and scientists, including several working internationally. In this context, Marco Leonec received the ‘Young cytometrists special award’ for his plenary session presentation entitled ‘Disease progression is associated with differential neutrophil maturation in Mycobacterium tuberculosis-infected in vivo model'.
