The Cellule d’Ingenierie Genetique et d’Expression (CIGEx) is open to national academic scientific community. The CIGEx platform is part of the Paris-Saclay Genomics platforms network (GENOPS).
The CIGEx offers services ranging from (1) molecular biology for cloning genes of interest, mutagenesis and genetic engineering; (2) protein biochemistry (expression in different systems, interaction tests, purification of recombinant proteins); (3) design and cloning of gRNAs for CRISPR/Cas9 experiments; (4) preparation of libraries for high-throughput sequencing; and (5) lentivirus production. The CIGEx has been implemented with the goals of :
- providing efficient tools and technologies with well established know-how,
- providing LIMS and quality control at all steps,
- providing scientific and technological environment for users,
- providing training for students and researchers.
