The 10th International Conference on HLA-G brought together 28 speakers from 15 different countries, including Nathalie Rouas-Freiss, Joël LeMaoult, Jules Rüssick, and Rebecca Laboureur from the Hemato-Immunology Research Department of the Institut de Biologie François Jacob, located at Saint Louis Hospital in Paris. The presentations opened promising perspectives for pathologies in which immunological tolerance is established, notably organ transplantation, autoimmune diseases, and viral diseases. In addition, the first results of a clinical oncology study were presented, confirming the growing interest in HLA-G blockade as a novel immunotherapy approach.
The 11th International Conference on the HLA-G molecule will take place in Ferrara in July 2028 and will be preceded by an international workshop in 2027, aimed at validating tools and methodologies targeting HLA-G.
